I created this card to try out the Puzzle Piece Resist technique featured in last week's Inkling. What a fun technique!
Using pre-embossed Color Me paper by Hot Off The Press, I cut the main piece with SB Polka Dots, then cut the Memory Box Dogwood Blossom Outline die from the panel. I colored the Polka Dots background piece by sponging with Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Peeled Paint and Antique Linen. Adhered that to a pink cardstock layer and placed the blossom in the negative space it came from. I chose not to color it, I like the way the white pops against the colors.
This is my first experience with Memory Box dies - I think I'm in love!
I'm really pleased with the way turned out; I'll definitely be using this technique again!
As always, thanks for looking!
