I wanted to be sure to make a card to honor our Queen for the Day Brenda aka tessaduck. I already had this card in my favorites as I loved its muted colors and versatility. I need to make some more cards for my own stash and as I go visit my mom this weekend who is my best card customer!
I started by cutting a reverse mask using deckle edge scissors. I then sponged with Mellow Moss and Soft Suede. I stamped the leaves in stamped off Moss, Suede, and Early Espresso. I then removed the mask and stamped the leaf in full strength Early Espresso and stamped the sentiment in the same right along the edge of the masking. I framed with Soft Suede and put it on a base of True Thyme.
So glad to be able to honor Brenda with a card as she is such a great member of our community. It was fun to get to know her a little better through the month of Hope You Can Cling To challenges and through the CAS Challenge. You should check out her gallery-lots of great inspiration in there!

Gail, you chose what may well be my favorite card, to CASE. Greens and earth tones, soft shadows and masking, really appeal to me. Perfect for sympathy, yes, but also works for other sentiments... That's why I call them adaptable.
Your card is beyond beautiful, and your words are sweet. Thank you so much.
