I just received this Spellbinders die today, and couldn't wait to play with it!
With some elaborate dies like the Marvelous Squares, I like to try cutting them all out and layering them just to see what they look like together. There are a number of ways of cutting this set of dies, but for the first time, I just cut each one individually, not using the negative pieces, and shaded and layered them.
For this card, I used my favorite Core'dinations pearl paper. I love the sheen and weight of it.
All the diecuts and the card were done with white pearl, and the embossed layer was cut from pink pearl. The pink layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug Dotted Swiss EF, and outlined with a Krylon pen.
The diecut layers were all shaded with Brilliance Pink, except the four fancy little corner pieces, which I left white.
Every layer, including the dotted swiss layer were mounted dimensionally, so this card is very dimensional. The only things which were mounted flat were the four little fancy corners.
With all this dimension and texture, it looks better with no other embellishments.
