Here's my idea of a nice place for Beauty - a cool lake with some nice flowers. We tried to grow water lilies once, bucause we heard you could grow them in a flowerpot filled with water. The lilies grew nicely and started to grow buds, and there were eve little tailed things that we thought were tadpoles...that is, until someone told us, "You know you have mosquito larvae swimming in there?" Needless to say, that was the end of our water lily experiment!
Thanks for Looking,
Lia-Marie

Oh my, you certainly didn't want mosquitos. I must say that every time I try taking photographs of lilies they are always covered with little insects - so the one on your card, being insect-free, is a winner for sure. This has a lovely moonlit feel to it.

Lia-Marie, a lovely card for Martha this week! Great job! Love those water lilies, is there nothing that would kill the mosquitos and save the water lily?

Last fall we went on a Panama Canal cruise and a professor on board gave a lecture on the impact mosquitoes had to the canal. I learned a whole new respect for the little nibblers. Love your beautiful waterlily.
