When I first saw the CAS Challenge yesterday, I was stumped as I couldn't think how I'd put those colours together, and then today I remembered a piece of dp that was wasting away in a drawer. It is the perfect colours for the challenge (except that the red might be a bit too dark, but it is red!). I made one card for the CAS Challenge and then also wanted to do the Technique Lover's Challenge - "Let the Paper on the Inside Show" - to cut a strip off the front edge of the card and have dp on the inside showing. So since I had this dp out, I decided to use it again for the TLC challenge and decided to keep challenging myself with the unusual colours of the CAS challenge.
I cut about 1/2" off the front edge of the card and put the dp on the inside.
I wanted to have the front image relate to the dp showing on the inside in some way other than just the colours so thought of the PTI Wreath for All Seasons as it has lots of dots for berries. I stamped the wreath base in brown. Then took the berry stamp and coloured the berries at random with the closest markers I have to the lime, turquoise, and red in the dp. Because the lime berries kind of faded into the wreath, I bordered it with lime cs to draw them out a bit more, and used the turquoise and red for my sentiment.
It's a pretty non-traditional Christmas card for me as I'd normally never use lime or turquoise on a Christmas card (being the stuck-in-the-mud person I am), but January's Christmas Card Challenge asked us to try non-traditional colours so this sort of counts even if it has some red on it!

I love this wreath and this set has been on my wishlist for a long time. I really love the way you've colored the berries in different colors and have the paper peeking out! I usually go for the traditional red and green, but I'm loving this!
