Monday's TLC was to pick any challenge from the 2012. I chose TLC370, Faux Patina, because I had enjoyed it and always meant to have another go. Plus it gave me a good Christmassy background .
A2 base. I embossed some white card with Constellation inked with Bundled Sage. I added more sponging with Tea Dye and Antique Photo, plus a bit of Fired Brick around the edges, and added some gold and some Verdigris EP. I added stitching lines with a red Sharpie.
TCP penguins stamped and embossed on watercolour paper, then coloured with H2Os, and a touch of Stickles for their crowns. Sentiment is from Printworks. I used Spellbinders Mega Ovals to cut it, and added some sponging with Tea Dye, Frayed Burlap and Tumbled Glass while in the die, and a touch of red round the very edge. I added a star which was silver, so I embossed it with gold EP, and added a red gem in the centre.
I was sad that my most favourite TCP penguins were retired when I finally got to place my first order - but these ones are nearly as cute, and DH was really tickled by this card.

Love these little guys and your background is so perfect for it! Super neat! (Thank you for the response in the forum about a time limit on the challenges!)

Super cute card! (Got a chuckle from your Wise Guys title! That's what my grandson told his mom after a Sunday School class recently...mom, did you know that 3 wise guys followed a star to see Baby Jesus!!)
