My mom called this morning with the bad news that her breast cancer (diagnosed April 2011) has spread into one of her vertebrae. More radiation etc to come and it is hard not to be discouraged. I made this card as much for myself as for her this morning as we need this reminder greatly!
For the Queen for the Day challenge to CASE one of our own cards, I chose to CASE one of my favorite cards from my gallery last year Christmas Story Sketch by mamaxsix at Splitcoaststampers. I changed to a monochromatic scheme in peaceful blues. I stamped the sentiment and the baroque flourish in Midnight Muse. I stamped the medallion in Versamark and embossed in clear. I then sponged Not Quite Navy over the medallion. I also sponged along the edges and added a pearl. I'm also participating in the TLC challenge counting this as TLC389 Blissful Backgrounds using the Emerging Color technique

Adding your mom in my prayers. Scripture is always a way to be lifted up and a way to abide in Him who shelters us from all things. Stamping is good therapy too and I loved this technique. I probably have it in my favorites. Sharing the word on your beautiful card will touch a world of hurting people.
