Fun challenges today! Make a frosty friendship card for the Free For All challenge, and case yourself for the Queen for the Day challenge! I think my little winter forest scene fits the bill on both counts. I cased my card Summer Cranes and kept the same framed layout but made it a winter scene and changed the hot summer colors into cool winter shades.
Since the scene is so complete all on its own, I decided to keep it simple and just let the image do the talking. I used two different rainbow ink pads to ink it up...first I used the varied greens, then tapped the bottom half against the varied blues. The moon/sun part was wiped off and I ink it w/ the black ink. I added a bit of shadowing and some color to the moon/sun using Copics. The oval frames were die cut and I used the white pigment ink to stamp the sentiment and little stars across the top. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

ooooh, Julie. Both cards are great. Love the hot red in the first one and I love the blue/green in this one. The coloring on the trees looks great and I like the layered openings.
So glad you played along and I hope you feel special, like the Queen that you are!
