Here’s an image that could be used for either gender of any age and just fun to color and look at! Another nice feature is the length of 8”, great for larger cards or scrapbooking pages.
The Scor-Pal was used to emboss the grid. I held the image to a light source and traced the image on the back side of the panel and lined the corners up on the 6” line and embossed every ½”, flipped the panel and repeated the process.
A 1” EK Success punch was used to cut the sentiment panel and a 1 ¼” to cut the blue panel. A Marvy punch was used to cut the orange, it was labeled 1” but actually cuts 1 1/16”…perfect for layering!
An EK Success punch was also used to round the corners.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. For this card I used a craft knife and I find it best to put very little pressure on the knife when cutting so the blade doesnÂ’t bend to avoid uneven cuts and repeat the cut if it the cardstock is thick; this works best for me rather than more pressure.
The image panel with border is popped up with foam tape. A TIP for getting those panels straight when using super sticky foam tape is to measure panel placement on card base first and secure the panel on one side of the base with repositional tape (I use dollar store painters tape), then apply the foam tape to the opposite side and stick down, now itÂ’s easy to add the rest of the tape without it moving. My foam tape is also from the dollar store; itÂ’s a great price for pop ups/dimensionals!
