I have several projects that need to be finished soon before the date for international parcel post in time for Christmas sneaks up on me, but I browsed the IC site over coffee at breakfast time, and there were so many beautiful pieces there that I had to find time to make something. I loved the little jealous kiwi, but alas I don't have a kiwi stamp in my collection.
There were also several pieces with curly silhouetted trees by Lawrence Yang, and I used THIS ONE as my inspiration.
5 3/4" square base, brown Bazzill.
I used alcohol inks to create my background - I think Pesto, Sail Boat Blue, Stone Washed and some Pearl and Snow Cap mixatives. I stamped the tree with Memories Artprint Brown, the birds with Versafine Black and the grass with Versafine Olympia green. The centre circles were cut from the two square panels and layered up on foam. I added some Sinamay mesh, distressed the edges of the base panel and that's it'

I don't even have to look at your inspiration piece...I thought of using that too, but did not have an appropriate stamp. You did a beautiful job, Sabrina!

HOW BEAUTIFUL!!! I love your inky blue sky! Your tree is so cool and I can easily see the inspiration piece! (I am so glad you didn't put the little people, they just seem a little creepy to me! LOL) Wonderful design too! Love it all!!!
I love all your layers of colors. It is amazing how much of your inspiration you captured in this card! Great job! I am glad you took the time to do this inspired card.
