I've been keeping up with all the HYCCT challenges until yesterday when I didn't feel well. Still have a problem today, but I didn't want to get too far behind. It is so much easier to do these challenges day-by-day.
This card is for bfinlay's (Bridget) challenge to be inspired by a Dickinson poem "...hope is that thing without feathers ... a tune without words..." My bird has feathers and my card is without words. This was an easy challenge for me as I make a lot of cards with birds on them. Just what I needed when I wasn't feeling well. Thanks Bridget!
I used a new (for me) Sizzix die for a negative mask in the center of a Spellbinders die cut, then stamped the bird in black. I sponged the edges of the Spellbinders die cut, added a border punch and photo corners.

I'm sorry you've been under the weather, Val - I hope you're feeling much better soon. Glad you found this challenge easy, this is beautiful! Lovely masking and sponging with your new die, and I like the whimsical, pretty bird silhouette...so glad you were able to play in the challenge - thankyou!
