Well, I took time to make another card even though I should be clearing out cabinets to make way for my kitchen remodeling coming soon! Couldn't resist a chance to dust off another tool for the Ways to Use it Challenge. This time, I pulled out an ef that was gifted to me in the pay it forward thread a while back and I think I've only used it once before. I hand cut my chevrons by folding strips of black and newsprint and cutting to the fold lines then cutting below that cut to form the chevron pattern. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede (Polly aka peeps321 made a card that inspired the idea WT386 Leave A Trail by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers though hers is a lot more even since she has a chevron die!). I stamped my typewriter with Onyx onto Confetti Cream and fussy cut it. Next time I'll check the void space on the stamp where the inside of the paper is....got a bit of a smear....ooops! I added the sentiment and a couple pops of Cherry Cobbler hearts. I added a rustic twine button and bow accent to the left of the chevrons and layered with Soft Suede, distressed, and black. All on a left-folded horizontal A2 card that ends up looking longer with the fold on the left somehow.
This also meets two Dare to Get Dirty Challenges from today. Join the fun and check out the details here Forums at Splitcoaststampers
