My son has a friend he met on line and his gramma is bringing him across the country here so they can meet for real. She seems really nice and is staying in a hotel room with a sister thats coming to visit as well.
I wanted to set a few flowers from our garden and a few cupcakes for a treat to welcome them here...when I saw this kitty....http://www.etsy.com/listing/62106424...mi-cat-pattern , it reminded me of this cute stamp my mom shared with me.
I colored it with water pens and normal markers, cut her out and sponged the edge of the diecut. then added the bg paper and the 2 layers of ribbon and a bow. I wanted a bigger bow and the other ribbon I used wasnt thick enough so hopeing this bigger bow is a close enough match. As I type this I just remembered was going to put a little blue swirl in the corner of the die-cut...still might do that. Then added the littel welcome sign. On the inside I think I am going to put...I knew you were coming so I baked a cake...:0).
I also wanted to honour our sweet queen for this week...Mary...so I was looking in her wonderful gallery for a design and saw this cute card...Bugs & Kisses CC281 by stampercamper at Splitcoaststampers of kept the same layout, except changed where the sentiment is and smaller bow and straight edge instead of scalloped...thanks for the neat ideas Mary and thanks for your visit...:0)
