A friend asked me to make several quick sympathy cards today...I went with the color challenge colors today, a very pretty combo...but be honest, do you think that orange is too bright and festive of a color for a sympathy card, even though it's only a small amount on the butterflies? This is a sneak peek of a new set coming out from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps on Thursday called Nature Silhouettes and I love the images. I masked with post-it-notes and had to substitute all of the ink colors.
Did I just do a one layer card??? Oh my goodness, someone get me a chair...

This is gorgeous, a real eye catcher, and no I do not think that the orange is too bright. It's perfect. This has so much depth and it's a one layer card, fantastic.

Fabulous card. Can't wait for Thursday's release! This wildflower, Queen Anne's Lace, is plentiful in my neighborhood. Usually has a tiny bug right in the middle of the bloom.
Lovely, lovely card.

Ok, here's your chair, now sit down and relax! Oh, my gosh! I was just thinking, "What a great one layer card!" and then I read what you said! Tee hee hee I've been dazzled by those clouds, Bridget; so beautifully created! Oh, and the butterflies, well, since they show God's love just when the caterpillar thinks this is the end of its rope, and out pops one of the most beautiful works of art ever, don't you think they should be "colorful"? They should stand out, and that's just what they do here. It lets the mourning person know that life does go on even without our loved ones~

Beautiful card, Bridget! LOVE the cloudy sky--I need a lot of practice on that technique! I think the butterflies are just fine and give a feeling that things will get better. Wonderful as always!
