Congratulations Karen, on being this weeks featured stamper. I loved looking through your beautiful gallery. I chose to case Santa Flying by
I purchased the Grand Madison Window frame and wild flower patch dies a couple of weeks ago and have really wanted to use them. When I saw Karen's window card I knew that was the perfect one for me to case. I used a bird in my window instead of Santa. I made the weathered window frame. I cut out three window frames and layered them to give it more dimension. I cut out and section again for the bottom window ledge for my flower pot to sit on. I had made the blue sponged panel a few years ago and found it in my stash. I stamped the fir tree using stazon forest green ink. The bird is from My Heart Stamps for You - birds set. Stamped it in Stazon timber brown and coloured with Stampin up markers. I rubbed blush blossom ink onto the Brick wall embossing folder and ran a piece of glossy white cardstock through the bug. Used a piece of cream textured paper for the bottom of the wall. Assembled my card.
I punched the little flowers out of a piece of ink ,spray and smash paper I made a couple of years ago. This was made using reinkers and using the INK SPRAY AND SMASH TECHNIQUE found in the resources section.
Enjoy your much deserved time in the spotlight Karen.
Hugs..Pat

This is just a fabulous card, Pat! I love the window and wall texture and the scene you have created -- that little pop of flower color is so fun! Wonderful!

Pat, great minds think alike! We both did a window scene. Yours is amazing with all of the textures and details you put into it. Even the little flowers which bring a pop of color to the card. May have to try a tree behind the next window I do!

You surely have put a lot of work into this beautiful scene. I like the way you made the weathered wood window and even have a potted plant on the sill. Really nice.
