This week's teaparty involves Ham Radios - the girls are bringing Ham radios, Ham radio parts, morse code, etc. (and from what I could tell of the gallery we are bringing hams, pigs, and lots of other cool things as well). I want extra cookies because I am bringing some friends who actually know how to fix Ham radios.
This card is going to Charles who loves Ham Radios, just had surgery, needs a pick-me-up and has a wife who is a fellow teaparty gal (so he may actually get the humor on my card - yea).
My father was a big Ham radio buff so you would you think I would know a thing or two having been around them. But all I could remember is all the wires and equipment my Dad had laying around. My Dad was into flying and missiles (he worked on the launch teams for missiles during his Air Force years). When I was really young, we went to watch a lot of remote controlled airplanes fly near the beach at Patrick AFB (this was in the 1960s so they were really amazing and cutting edge back then). I hope that was a good enough story to explain why there is a remote controlled plane on my card - at least I hope I was convincing!!!

I get it, I get it you silly girl. My husband just built a remote control plane-he hasn't taken it for a drive yet. I think after all the work he did he is afraid to crash it....just like this picture. So it is hanging from the ceiling for us to admire his handiwork everytime we walk under it....lol Charlie will love this card and your humor! Sending you 42,000 "Bear Hugs" my friend!!!!

Love the breaking news and your clever card. There's a big park near us (biggest city park in Europe) and there's one space where they fly planes. One day I couldn't work out what all the smoke was, till I realised that a couple of guys must have had some kind of smoke canister attached to their planes. I think the park rangers were wondering too - a couple of them came speeding over in their jeep. I bet Charles will get a real kick from this.
