I created this card for Charles, a fellow Teapotter's husband. He recently had cancer surgery and is on the journey of recovery and wellness. He is a newbie Ham Radio operator. This hobby will quite possibly lead to communications and "travel" all over the world. The distressed Tim Holtz sentiment reads "the JOURNEY awakens the SOUL" which I thought was quite appropriate.
I flipped the 4.14.12, Unscripted Sketch #154 to accomodate my design.
Stamps: Several sets Tim Holtz, CTMH (#s)
Paper: Hobby Lobby base and kraft, Making Memories vintage kit (postage stamps/map/metal turns + brads)
Ink: Ranger tea dye, walnut stain, fired brick, Stazon black
Accessories: metal from kit, sponges for distressing, SU dimensionals, Tim Holtz ruler
NOTE: LOVE my Tim Holtz ruler. I measure all the edges to make sure my panels/layers are straight. The map on this card has a crooked "road" at the bottom so it looks like the panel is crooked but it is straight! Thanks Tim! Heehee! Truly, I think every papercrafter needs one!

I agree ..the sentiment is perfect as is the card with all the travel elements. The hobby will let the mind and soul travel while the body stays put.. great job!

oh my! Could you get any more wonderfully masculine that this? I think not...and to think I am loving it this much and i am a girl, in case you didn't know! Snort! What a great place your mind took you for this challenge....I love what you created for Charles......awesome....
its an optical illusion...that panel looking crooked thingy! Way to tease is with a little extra fun! I think its the line of the map, that's the culprit!

This makes me think of Teapotters and SCS, are cards make a journey to feed and soothe the souls of many and SCS is right there, encouraging us on that journey! The stamps add wonderful pops of colors to a wonderfully masculine and vintage card!!
