I've got a full schedule today so I snuck in a quick card that meets both the Technique challenge (instructions for the challenge here TLC373 ~ Magical Masking ~ {4/16/12} by StampingQueenJAR at Splitcoaststampers) and uses Mary's sketch from the CAS challenge CAS166 - Sketch by stampercamper (4/16/12) by Miss Boo at Splitcoaststampers. My pastor hubby is low on cards and asked for some more lighthouse cards. I had some images already colored. I tore the piece into a circle and cut a burlap circle to go behind it. I sponged a Night of Navy sky using the cloud template. I added the Soft Suede ink strip using the technique of inking a piece of masking tape, laying on the card base then ripping it off. I had torn my tape along the sides so I did two lines of ink. I stamped my sentiment just above the strips. (I think I'm going to have to unmount this stamp because it is slightly crooked on the block and I CANNOT get it to stamp straight!!!) I didn't like the look of the area below the stripes so I decided to tear it off and then I still didn't like it so I tore a Night of Navy strip to go below. I hope this still counts as CAS after sll my fiddling around!
