I tried a couple of different ways to make the birds, thinking I'd use grey rubbed with white, but that proved to be too dark. So, ended up using the reverse- white cs, rubbed w grey ink. After that I kept it simple, spying this panel of DSP on my table that made it easy to finish the design. I resurrected some retired sage shadow to make the banner.
Beautiful site today! Thanks Stef. Appreciate your kind comments.

Love your take on the inspiration piece. Reminds me of the metal ceiling tiles that adorned many old buildings. Love the banner with the sentiment. Great card. tfs

What a gorgeous card, so striking in its simplicity, a perfect inspired card! I love patterned paper behind the bird and the way you popped the banner up. And it sounds like you have a desk full of outtakes also, lol. It makes me nuts when I have an idea in my head of how something should look and I can't easily transfer that idea to paper!
