Well, I thought of these butterfly punch pansies when I saw today's color challenge colors with the dessert option of making spring flowers. My pansies along the front of my house actually made it through our unusually mild IN winter and are blooming. The pansies were made using the butterfly punch following this tutorial http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.co...1_archive.html. I'm not sure exactly which colors I used for these as I'd made them a while ago, but they looked close. The leaves are made by folding a piece of Old Olive paper in half then crimping on an angle. I then used a circle punch to punch the leaves...these are sponged lightly. I cut out a circle with a Nestabilities die the sponged its edges. The base is embossed it the Stripes ef. I stamped my Daffodil strip with the sentiment then used a square punch to punch the notch. I tied a Baker's twine bow on my button and layered it over an Olive circle. The tiny pearl was an afterthought when it showed up on the card so I used it to dot my "I"
