Here is my card for today's Free for All Challenge, F4A110 Caught a Bug? I went a little nuts on this one, but I had fun! I was supposed to have lunch at a favorite Italian restaurant with my friend today, but she was not feeling well and cancelled. My friend loves Italian food, and wine, so the first thing I thought of for a card was Voila. As I was coloring Antonio, I was thinking about this Italian restaurant my parents took me to when I was a child. I remember being fascinated by a very large mosaic on the red brick wall, which was quite unusual for Miami. Anyway, I decided to try to recreate that in my card. For the floor, I stamped the Print Patterns background in black and then covered in clear embossing powder. I used the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder for the walls on Bravo Burgundy and added Basic Gray, Black and Basic Brown. I used the TH woodgrain folder for the baseboard, Naturals Ivory with Basic Brown and Dusty Durango. The mosaic on the wall was stamped on Ivory Naturals, then run through the mosaic embossing folder. I used markers and a water brush to add a little red, green and purple on the image, a vintage looking wine label. I used a little brown over the whole thing, heavy on the edges to make the brown frame. I clear embossed his shoes and the tray and used markers on the wine and cheese.

LOVE how you used part of a EF for the wall texture -- that is brilliant! This is one of my all-time fav SU sets (and I don't have it!!) and I love what you did with it!

Antonio looks simply marvelous! I love all that you did with your embossing details, and I can tell you took great care to re-create the restaurant in your memories as a child. FABULOUS card indeed~

How funny that you call him Antonio - I always think of him as Pierre .
Your mosaic on the wall is just great, love the brick wall too. I must think of that next time I pull him out. I'm sorry you missed your lunch date with your friend, but I'm sure she'll love getting this.
