My favorite color combo for tulips is purple and yellow so here they are in card form.
Copic markers were used for coloring: Y15,17,19, V12,15,17, YG61,63,67, BG0000,000,10
Tip: when coloring an envelope paper which tends to bleed, use a light touch with the marker and be careful to stay away from the outside edge when blending colors and most envelope papers wonÂ’t blend that well. My insert paper is higher quality so it doesnÂ’t bleed as easily as the envelope and does a better job of blending. If you want to see a close up click here for a direct to post link on my blog.
I used an EK Success punch for the buckle and covered it with AleeneÂ’s Paper Glaze to create a shiny finish and it also adds stability. The ribbon that wraps around the right side of the panel is taped to the back side. I thread the ribbon though the buckle before attaching it to the card and the ribbon is secured to the card panel with the Paper Glaze product on the left side of the buckle. The buckle is attached with double sided tape and a touch of AleeneÂ’s tacky glue to each side.
I used the Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting to cut the even borders. Use any brand craft knife for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. Scor-Pal was used to emboss lines across the envelope stopping at the image. I hold the envelope up to a light source and lightly pencil mark the image edge on the back side so I know where to stop with my metal ball stylus and erase when finished. I also rub the paper with waxed paper so the stylus glides easier.
