Happy Saturday everyone. Here is my card for this weeks Inspiration challenge - Galleria Arts and Crafts - Snoopy and Woodstock Quilt was my inspiration - you'll have to scroll down- 6th image down in the middle. I used a Snoopy image and star dp. My sentiment is chipboard.
I made the faux star button - punched out the star 5 times from sage shadow cardstock. Clear embossed a few times. pierecd holes and sewed onto card.
This works for Wednesdays ways to use it.
This card also will work for this weeks F4A105 - cards with characters - Snoopy definetly has character.
I will be sending this card to Chris Titolo - Sue (aka coffeestampers# son. #Who is recovering from surgery - he had a brain tumor removed recently - he is at home and doing well.# Chris is one Tough Cookie.
For the month of February here at SCS the "Cards for a Cause" is featuring Albany Medical Center Pediatric Unit/ICU Pediatric# Fellow SCSer Sue #Coffeestamper# has a 9 year old son who just prior to Christmas was treated at Albany Medical Center# He had surgery to remove a brain tumor# It was such an intense, fearful, and difficult time for the Titolo family! Chris is so young! He came through with flying colors, is home now and doing well#
Sue and her family are so very appreciative of the staff at the Medical Center# The would love to show their appreciation to the staff for the wonderful care Chris recieved during this difficult time for their family# Here is a message I received in Sue's own words#
The nurses and staff made us feel comfort while going through all of this# We would love to give back to that staff and we had asked them what could we do for them# I told them that I make hand made cards and they said it would be great if I could donate birthday cards to the pediatric unit because there are alot of times when kids are being treated when their birthday comes around# A handmade card would cheer them up on a birthday away from home# The pediatric unit treats infants all the way up to 18 year olds#
Chris has to return to the center for follow up MRI's to make sure his tumor doesn't grow back# Chris would love to show up there with a stash of birthday cards for the children being treated now and in the future# In honor of Chris and the wonderful treatment he received, let's make this happen for this wonderful medical center! Here is a link to this months Cards for a Cause
Thanks for looking,
Hugs.. Pat
