Since I made a hames of my card for the ODBD HE-EA-R-T challenge yesterday by forgetting to include my "H", I took a background that I'd been working on and used it to make a card that fit the challenge.
H - heat embossing, H2Os
E - embossing resist
R - Red card, re-inkers
T - Twine
A2 base. I used red corrugated card for my mat layers.
For the background I stamped the Snowflake backgrounder on watercolour paper with Versamark and embossed with clear ep. I sort of did a faux batik then - I misted it with water and added drops of re-inker (Weathered Wood, Broken China, Tumbled Glass) and swirled them around. After it was dry I ironed the embossing powder out so that I could stamp on the base layer.
Tree for all Seasons stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured with distress inks and H2Os, with Liquid Pearls for the snowflakes.
I stamped a sentiment, and added a snowflake button with some twine.
