I love this birthday background stamp because it's so versatile -- it can be formal or fun, depending on what types of ink and paper you use with it. For this card, I stamped the background with Versamark on a really dark amethyst paper (it looks black in the photo) then embossed with gold. The flower was stamped using watercolor crayons, then covered with Versamark and several layers of UTEE, then put in the freezer to crack the "glass". This card was for my mom's 76th birthday!
