This is not the first card destined for a grandchild I have uploaded! It is especially rewarding when they are quick to show appreciation!
Today's ways to use it challenge was timely as I had just searched for ideas and saved this great card - I especially liked the idea of the verse, and the tailored look: Graduation Card by dizzyd at Splitcoaststampers
I think I have close to the school colors - blue and gold. My apologies to both the college and the maker of the stamp on dizzyd's card. I used the college seal from their website. I created my own computer verse based on the original card - though there was no manufacturer listed. I need the card tomorrow, so no chance to obtain a similar stamp.
The blue as well as the gold cs are textured - for me, just the right effect.
The narrow gold strips are from the border of a sheet of gold sticker strips - too nice to discard!
This is 8.5x5.5 - this very special occasion calls for a very special card.
Thanks dizzyd for the inspiration and to Michelle for the challenge.
I hope this goes in the occasions gallery - I could not find it on the drop down list.

I often use the school logo off the announcements, but I like your idea of printing one from the website! You did a nice job on the sentiment and I love the mortarboard!

What a clever, clever way to make a mortarboard (if that's what you call them over there, the grad caps!)
(The occasions galleries are keyword driven, they aren't *fixed* like the SU sets and techniques; since you've got graduation in your keywords it should be there for sure ).
