The 2011 edition of my Christmas cards. Two or three years ago, Nicole Heady made a beautiful card with a stand of birch trees and a red bird sitting on one of the branches. This year, I decided to use her inspiration using supplies I already had. The cardinal was the problem - I couldn't find a punch or stamp that were right for this project. So I found my best bird option on my Cricut Home Decor cartridge and, using Design Studio, welded a small triangle from the George cartridge on the top of its head. Voila! A cardinal! I cut the cardinal out of a sheet of red glitter sticker paper I've had laying around for a few years. The navy and silver cardstocks are from Hollo's in Brunswick, OH.

This is beautiful! That little red bird really pops on the dark blue background! I love the mirrored paper border too, tfs!!
