I made a clean and simple Christmas card using "Stamp and Bond" powder - aka "Heat and Stick" powder - which was the first time I have used this product to make a card - and I really love the glittery effect that it gives. And now I have a very, very glittery craft room and my hair and face is "sparkling" LOL!!
The snowflakes were stamped using Versacolor Violet pigment ink, then I poured on the Stamp and Bond powder, removed any excess from around the images, blasted it with a heatgun until the powder melted, then immediately poured on fine Crystalina glitter. The sentiment was stamped with the same pigment ink and heat-embossed using clear ep.
As I didn't have a star brad that quite matched the purple, I also used the same Heat and Bond technique on it too. Best to hold the brad with tweezers so you don't burn yourself with the heatgun - and make sure you allow time for it to cool before you handle it. Handle it carefully too because it is really easy to damage/scratch it. I usually cut the prongs off my brads and glue them on with Crafter's Pick Incredibly Tacky glue (ie: strong adhesive) as I have a terrible time punching a hole in my cardstock in just the right spot for my brad to be lined up exactly where I want it. It's just my easier way of doing it :-)
The white cs base was embossed with my Big Shot and the CB snowflakes ef from the CB Winter Wonderland set.
The main panel is up on dimensionals. Lastly, I tied on Lilac twine and wrapped it twice around my card and tied a bow.
I have had a little production line going and made quite a few cards exactly the same but with different colours and will upload them when I get a chance. I am at last getting ahead with my Christmas cards!!
