This is for the Twisted Sister Challenge in where we were to make a one layer card with NO PINK!
I have to make some baby boy shower invitations and I was playing around with this image and double nestie embossed technique. I am NOT HAPPY with the results as I tried to color in between the embossing and you can see the lines of the markers. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fill the in between with color and not use markers? HELP!

Aww, so sweet. As far as adding the color there, I think I'd cut out the larger nestie, tape the smaller one to the center and cut it out. Then, you'll have a frame to put around those cute little footsies!! Of course, it wouldn't be a one layer card anymore. Just a thought though.

This is cute. I agree with CA about adding the second layer. Also when you color if you will do small circles it will look a lot better. That's what I do when I use my SU markers and you can't see any lines.

Cu--uuuute card, Lesley!! I am with the girls on the suggestion to use the next size up nestie for the layer - love those widdle toes, rattle, onesie, and bib!!
SU markers leave lines - no getting around it - is that the only kind of markers you have? Prismacolor markers (I get these from Dick Blick ) never leave a line - they don't blend as well as copics, but you can create your shadowing somewhat - I use them a lot for my own personal work -

One layer....you are killin' me now! Sissy, I don't know if I can do it (ouch-ouch-ouch!), but I like the way you used the Nesties as a way to gain another "layer". So sweet! LYMI

Cute - when I first saw it, I thought you cheated and added a second layer (I was going to follow suit and cheat too, but now I can't - oh well). I have two suggestions - one is to use a Copic marker - they blend so well. The other is to create a mask for the two parts you don't want to color and sponge the part you do want to color. May not work but since you are experimenting. You could also possibly just do little dots to fill in. Have fun!!!
