Today the Free 4 All challenge was to make a card in "Mostly Blue". The only other shade on this card is white (minus the bit of pink ink that one of my 5 year olds added to my card. At least he used a sponge so it is subtle)!
The set I used is a new set from The Stamps Of Life called spiros2stamp. I was going for a snowflake look on this card since I know several people with December birthdays. The many different shapes and sizes of spiros in this set create endless stamping possibilities! LOVE IT!
First I heat embossed the large spiros in clear embossing powder on white cardstock. For my background I brayered several shades of blue and also used sponging to shade the edge and corners. Next I stamped a smaller spiros image from this set repeatedly around the large spiros. I used a MS border punch for the bottom and tied some bakers twine from The Twinery around it. The sentiment is also from this spiros2stamp set.

What a nice match the twine is to the color of the card. Looks like the old Spirograph to me!! My kids loved it!
