I came across a teddy bear in my collection of stamps that I had not used, so I decided to make a baby card with it.
Card Size: 5.5” wide x 4.25” tall
Front Image: Teddy bear holding a blanket while sleeping on a crescent moon
Front Sentiment: None
Inside Sentiment: “May your new baby fill your life with happiness, joy and lots of laughter”
I created the base card for this teddy bear baby card from white cardstock and layered it with a light blue cardstock. On the light blue background I affixed a decorative panel consisting of a blue, soft green, and white plaid paper matted with soft green cardstock. Along the left edge of the decorative panel I popped three stars punched from yellow cardstock off the surface.
For the focal point of the card I constructed an image panel. I started by layering light blue cardstock on soft green cardstock. Next I created the image for the card by stamping the teddy bear and moon on white cardstock and coloring it with gamsol and colored pencils. Once I completed coloring the image I fussy cut it out and popped it off the surface of the image panel. I popped the completed teddy bear image panel off the surface of the card to add dimension. As a finishing touch a popped a star punched from yellow cardstock off the corner of the image panel.
To create the inside card panel I printed "“May your new baby fill your life with happiness, joy and lots of laughter” on white cardstock and matted it with light blue cardstock. I decorated this panel with a strip of the plaid paper and popped a teddy bear punched from yellow cardstock on it. Once the panel was completed I affixed it to the inside of the card base.
I also handmade an envelope from heavy white cover stock and affixed a teddy bear punched from the plaid paper in the lower left corner to compliment the teddy bear baby greeting card.
