I had several teddy bear images that I had stamped on a variety of cardstocks and decided to use one to make a card. I've incorporated a little lace into the card to give it a little panache.
I created the base card from light blue cardstock and scored it at the top so that my teddy bear card opens from the bottom. I made the card topper by layering navy blue cardstock with a terracotta cardstock and polka dotted paper reflecting my color scheme. Where the cardstock and paper interface I affixed a piece of cream lace.
For the focal point of the card I used a teddy bear image that I had stamped on cream cardstock and colored it using colored pencils and gamsol. I matted the completed image with navy blue cardstock and popped it off the surface of the topper to add some dimension to the card. Once the topper panel was completed, I affixed it to the front of my card base.
To create the inside card panel I took cream cardstock and matted it with navy blue cardstock. I embellished this panel with a strip of the polka dotted paper matted with navy blue and light blue cardstocks. I left the remainder of the panel blank so that teddy bear card is versatile.
I handmade an envelope from heavy white cover stock and affixed a teddy bear punched from the polka dotted paper to the lower left corner to compliment the teddy bear card.
