I was waiting patiently for the sketch (actually, I was stalking SCS for a while!). I wanted to make my daughter's teacher a card. I did meet her briefly tonight and she seems very sweet and I am happy Layla will be in her class this year.
I am a little sad this year because Layla will be in school full days now. She won't be getting home until after 4pm everyday! It's going to be a little weird around here without her! She is such a ray of sunshine and a REALLY big help! I think it's going to take Brooklyn (Layla's little sister) and I, a little while to get used to the fact that she won't be home during the day!
Anyway, I put a cute little card in Layla's lunchbox to surprise her at recess! I hope she like it! And I hope her teacher will like this card, too!
What do you think? You think she'll like it?? I feel like it just looks so much better in person! Oh, well!

Oh boy, do I remember the books we had for learning to write. I never did learn to write joined-up writing all that well. This is sweet - of course Layla will love it. I mean - just look at that glittery apple!!

Yes oh YES, Jenna!
Having taught both Kindergarten and First Grade ... I promise that this card is going to reach right into your Layla's teacher's heart in a moments' notice! Hang on, Mommy ... this will get better. (((huggss)))

I love the trio of buttons with the glittery apple, Jenna - Layla's teacher is very lucky to have such a thoughtful and supportive student mommy this year - knowing our little ones are happy at school with a great teacher is a huge blessing, isn't it!!
