Toni asked us to turn up the heat on our cards today - very "cool" challenge! DMIL & DFIL are moving to a retirement community, so a house*warming* card is in order. They are both Irish, so this delightful cottage (with a *hot* fire burning, obviously!) seemed a good choice.
Stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo black on Flourishes white CS x 2. Colored one with Copics (with as many shades of green as I could) and cut it with the deckled oval Nestie. Used it as spotlight technique/positioned over the other image and matted all with Garden Green CS. Inked the border and sentiment stamp with Versamark then Memento Bamboo Leaves and then lightly with Memento Cottage Ivy to give a two shade effect. Clear embossed with *heat* gun. Ran the front (shorter) part of the card through the Sizzix EF, mounted all and done. Yes, I mis-cut the card and scored at 4 1/4"; I used that to my advantage in the design. PT - 1
Thank you so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

Hard to get the hot fire in my mind with the temperatures in the 90's! hehe BUT your card is fabulous and such a relaxing scene. I love it! I know your IL's will too. Well done. TFS :0)

What a wonderful card to give your in-laws for their move. I guess you can tell by my last name, my hubby is Irish, too. A most lovely card, MM.
