I still have this shadowbox I made of my DH's Workshop from many years ago - I cut small pieces of wood to fashion the many saws, cabinets, a heater, a compressor, his clamps, and shelves. Some are pieced from bits of wood, other things are painted to look like paint and minwax cans, or other containers to store his nails and such. I gave it to him for Christmas one year and he was flabbergasted that I was able to make something like that. It's something I treasure because it reminds me of him.

Greenie, I know John must have felt the love coming from a project like this. You are incredible.....

Sue, I am in awe. I've never seen anything like this before. Every detail is precise; every placement and fixture is exacting. This is so endearing. I'm glad you hung on to this. I bet it still brings a sense of comfort when you remember making it and seeing his reaction. Wow.
