This is for the red, white, and blue challenge over at Flourishes. that it turned out OK is an amazement as it was fraught with problems. I did all the usuals, glued the image on the card base upside down (now fixed), glued the snowman to the table, had glitter embedded in the flock, coal buttons and eyes kept falling off, grabbed clear eb powder instead of white. You name it, it happened. Anyway I persevered and it's now good enough to send out.
Snowman was cut out, glittered, his scarf and hat were flocked, and black rhinestones were used for coal lumps. The bg is watercoloured and embossed with snowflakes. Mittens were flocked. The snowflake edge is a Tim Holtz die. Since I didn't have red and white paper I cut a piece of wrapping paper and glued it to cardstock.

Elizabeth,
Adorable and fun card. The images are so cute and I love that you used wrapping paper - it looks perfect. The part of the snowflake showing looks pretty too. Could you, pretty please, color me in that winter scene for just a bit - to get me out of this awful heat!

Oh Elizabeth, I am cracking up at your details. (Sounds like you were in my stamp-room, taking a class or something! I do all that! And sometimes even worse!) Friend, for all your troubles you surely have one delightful card! I love anything with a snowman, and this one is precious! Love-love-love your snowflake border. Ok- gotta go emboss Bubba some lunch...oops, wait a dang second! Hugs....
