Inchie created for the theme of *Monkey Love* in Jmaraul’s Inchie Swap. This is my little tribute to Carol Duvall – the Queen of Crafts. Most of what I know today, I learned because of Carol. I’m sure most of us here on SCS remember Carol as well. The craft shows on television just don’t seem to be the same any more without The Carol Duvall Show. I sure do miss her. I used to tape her show daily and learned so many new things. Carol and her guests would teach us interesting new techniques of crafty goodness. Carol was like a close friend eager to show you how to make this or that. It was fun to see what Carol had in the Shoebox at the end of the show too. What a wonderful personality and sense of humor she has. Who could forget Carol’s love of the Sock Monkey? I immediately thought of Carol as soon as I saw these Sock Monkey brads and the idea was born for this inchie.
I found the image of Carol on the internet. I wanted the image to also have the logo of her television show so I altered the image and added the logo in the upper left corner and resized it for my ¾ punch. The image is protected with MicroGlaze by Judikins and buffed to a smooth finish.
The inchie was first covered with double-sided Red Liner tape. The tape is very strong and holds the glitter very well. The image was applied next and then a coat of glitter. Micro beads were added on some of them instead of glitter.
Crown:
The text on the crown was computer generated, printed, and then punched with a tiny crown punch. Rhinestones were very carefully glued to the crown with Glossy Accents.
Thanks for looking.
I hope this brings you a smileÂ… and some great memories of watching The Carol Duvall Show.

I saw those brads online one day and immediately thought of you. I just knew you would have some of them. Nice tribute to Carol and great representation of the theme.

Of course I watched Carol Duvall and taped her show. I still have some of them. Wonder if she is still around.
Love the way you put the crown on her, and the glitz is perfect.

I think you made a great monkey love inchie... or inchie and a half. The way you discribed this one is fantastic Deb. BRAVO!
Carol Duvall has always been a favorite crafter in my book. I've thought of searching to find what has come of her.
