This week's challenge over at Speedy the Cat's Friend's is to use a die cut in the background. I used Mark's Finest Papers Sand Surf Relax Image as the perfect backdrop for all my shells and die cuts. What fun. If you are interested in learning how I made my own Glimmer Mist (at least 4 bottles for $1.47) please visit: http://chocolatecraftsandbearsohmy.b...-die-cuts.html and watch my video on how to make your own and see it up close.
Mothermark put out a call for card to go to a young man who is home from Iraq who lost an arm and a leg. He is 24 years old and his wife is due to have a baby. He likes the beach so i made this with the intention of sending it to him.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh Carol, this is so amazing. That use of cheesecloth is genius. All those cutouts go so well together with the boat. I love it. Would also make a fabulous scrap page. Hugs =^..^=

How clever is this?!? This will sound silly, but I think that the cheesecloth is my favorite element here. The worn, wispy look of it evokes a well-used net to draw in the treasures of the deep. Just a cool feeling that evokes- Hugz! Of course it would be nothing if you hadn't arranged the perfect assortment of punched and die-cut detail in all the right colors. That beautifully colored image starts a wonderful journey around this card. You da bestest...just love what you do Miss Bearzi!
