Something along these lines was what I imagined when I first saw the sketch this morning, but I had to get the rainbow card out of the way first and that took a LONG time. I'd like to try this again with textured rather than stamped bark.
A2 base.
Stamps are Inkadinkado Bird Assortment, and Starving Artistamps Woodgrain.
I stamped the woodgrain with Walnut Stain on brown card, trimmed to size and distressed the edges. The sentiment was stamped directly on the card base with Walnut Stain.
Owl was stamped with Versafine Sepia on thin watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks.
Leaves are QuicKutz, cut from a scrap of Bazzill.
This was a fun sketch - lots of possibilities.
