Someone (I can't remember who!) made a card and mentioned that she learned the mitered corner technique from Becca's tutorial at Amazing Paper Grace. Becca always has such unique ideas! I didn't have her punch, but discovered that with a little adjusting, other border or insert punches could also be used as mitered corner frames.
I made the frame without measuring, but it turned out to fit a 4.25" square card. I used little blossoms and the bow to cover up the little adjustments at the corners. What remains visible doesn't look that bad, does it?
This card qualifies for F4A66 "literal" free for all challenge. The mitered corners tutorial was free, and the napkin used in the center was free. When I first started making cards, I went a little crazy about using napkins (also known as faux felt). I actually asked all my friends if I could have their left over napkins and everyone who contributed got at least one card made with the napkin they gave me.
