This is for the Creative Crew challenge to incorporate a poem into my Scrapbooking project. I really wanted to use a different poem about roses but it was way too long. I used this other e.e. cummings poem about roses instead.
(Let me just say this is confirmed as being written by e.e. cummings ;)
Hope you join in the Creative Crew challenge this month to incorporate a poem in your scrapbooking project. Then upload with keywords : CCREW0611SF, CreativeCrew
I saw this idea -- to have the rose image in varying stages -- on an old PSX stamp. I love the idea of this, and the poem matched perfectly!
I used MDS for the design. For the sepia page -- Since the photos were actually of all different roses, I used the sepia coloring to make them all consistent. I used the background "picker" and chose a tone from one of the images. I used Soft Suede brads.
For the color page -- the rose was actually the same rose bush, taken on the same day in the same lighting. This gives a much different effect.
MDS ended up being easy-peasy for this task, I will say that!! I think it helps, though, that I have been studying PSE (Photoshop Elements) in addition. There is defnitely a learning curve, but how fun that we can use our fave SU! colors and images!
Thanks for stopping by my gallery.
And lemme know, which of the two MDS pages do you like better and why?
