I am so proud of me!!!! (:>) To the untrained eye, this may look like your average card....BUT...to me, it is a great success. Anyone that knows me, knows that I REALLY struggle with male-type cards. I tend to use alot of flowers, butterflies and flourishes so when it comes to making a boy/man card I draw a blank. After putting this card together for our grandson, it was time to add some embellishments. I did okay up until I put this ribbon on and thought that I should bring a little turquoise accent to the front of the card. I caved, punched out a flower and glued it on.....all the while rationalizing how it was okay to put a flower on a boy's card...afterall....it was only one flower. THEN...a lightbulb came on and I remembered the star punch that I bought at our recent stamping expo!! Aha....I could peel off that girlie flower and add a few stars. Viola! A male card with NO flowers, NO butterflies and NO flourishes. Celebrate with me by shouting a big "Woohoo!!" TFL!
