This is for CAS120 and today our challenge is a sketch. When I saw the sketch had a circle I decided I wanted to make a flower card but don't reallyt have flower punches large enough to fill that kind of space. I decided to try my hand at creating a big round puffy hudrangea flower. I punched out 3 different size circles with the largest being 1 3/8" graduating in to about 3/4" and layered them with mounting tape in between each layer. I wanted to create a graduated rise so the flower would take on the appearance of a big puffy hydrangea blossom. I punched put about a million small hydrangea blossoms with my tripple punch and curled them up by pushing the center of each flower down into a mouse pad with a stylus. I started at the top of the flower and glued layer after layer with glassy accent. It may sound like this took a long time ut it really only took 10 or 15 minutes. I layered the flower over Sizzix die cut foliage that I ran through my crimper. I added a few tiny sprigs of pine punch to add a touch of softness. This was fun. I will be making this again. Hydrangeas was a very popular flower in my mother's flower during the the Mother's Day holiday. They make me think of spring.

This is gorgeous. I am very impressed with your hydrangea! Had I tried that, I'd have flowers and glossy accents all over me and I'd probably need to be committed!
