made several graduation cards last year for friends. Since I had very few graduation-themed stamps, I used the school name/colors as a background (computer generated), cut out a graduation cap and raised it on a pop-dot, and made a tiny diploma with the graduates' name. These were such hits that I've sold over 25 so far this year already! (Probably doesn't hurt that I work at a University, where we tend to focus on graduations!.....) =)

so incredibly cute. Totally caseing. I have a nephew graduating HS this year...need something nice to deflect from $50.00 that i can give as a gift :(
Thanks! I know several of my customers count the card as part of their gift. A few have made into scrapbooks and one was even framed for the student's college dresser. Another thing I'm able to do, if my client mentions it to me in advance, is add 1" to the card base, which I then fold up and glue at the edges to provide a place for a gift card or $. Here's another card that included this 'flap' for a gift card: Card for James by kitkat55 at Splitcoaststampers
I use 11" x 17" cardstock for my base cards, so I can do this easily. You could also do this if you were able to find 12 x 12 cardstock heavy enough for the base.
Enjoy...glad I could help!! ;)
