Please tell me what you think. Could this card be considered masculine? I made this for our son's upcoming BDay and my husband says it's a "girly card". Whichever is the opinion "male" or "female" I will go with. I thought because it was stamped in brown I could get away with it but my husband says guys aren't into flowers.
Now to the card. I used the Magnolia stamp from the "Flourishes" Lilac set. It is stamped in vintage photo and coloured with copics. The background papers are stamped with walnut stain, old paper, linen, and 2nd generation vintage photo and also sponged. The blossoms are glued flat on the base and popped only on the outside edge giving them a more natural look.

I think it could work for a man. My husband thinks it is fairly generic...or I guess could be for either sex. I love this card. I will be curious to find out what you decide.

Before I read your post and was looking at your card, I was thinking to myself "That is a gorgeous card but I think I would use a finer bow -- that looks a bit masculine." So there's my opinion! I imagine your son would love anything you would make him and be pleased at your skill.
A magnolia is a tree with an attractive blossom. "The timber is hard and heavy, and has been used commercially to make furniture, pallets, and veneer." Also known as the bull bay tree.
(Wikipedia) Sounds pretty masculine to me!

Wow, what a beautiful image and colored so wonderfully! The BG is perfect for the pink and that bow is a wow! I asked my husband what he thought, of course, he said for a female. But I, like the other ladies, think it could be for a male or female. The big brown bow/ribbon could definitely say man card!

What a beautiful card. I would love to receive it myself, but do think it's too feminine for a guy. It's really hard coming up with "male" cards. I tend to go with water (beach, boat, lighthouse) or cars / trucks. There must be better ideas ! Anyway, he will love it if you made it !

I might be too late for your opinion poll. I like this a lot, but I can tell you that either the pink or the ribbon would be enough for DH to say girlie, and as for both together... He'd be happy enough with flowers on their own, I must say, and he loves magnolias, but I know he wouldn't like the pink mat.

To anyone checking back on the outcome. I took everyones advice and thanks to Sabrina I took a chocolate brown copic marker and changed the lilac mat to brown and you wouldn't believe the difference it made. It is now in the mail thanks all.
