A lady I work with asked me to make a birthday card for her grand-daughter who is turning 9. My only instructions were that she loves pink, purple and blue and planets and stars....LOL what to do to make a feminine card?!?
Browsing the SCS Gallery, I was inspired by several cards using the Stampin UP owl punch, with a moon and stars behind.
I stamped and heat embossed the branch on my DP. Then used my stamp-ma-jig to place the stamp on the moon and stamped and heat embossed it on yellow glitter paper. I added flowers to the branch with purple Stickles in the centers. I added wings to the owl by cutting a scalloped circle in half. I applied Diamond Glaze to the eyes, then when dry added a white dot with a gel pen. Party hat, balloons and sentiment were cut with my Silhouette SD - the sentiment as a print and cut. The eyelashes were cut with my Pazzles Inspriation. Rhinestone bow for bling and silver metallic stars in the sky. Silver metallic thread for the balloon ties.
Thanks for looking.
