It boils down to Benzi promising me in November, 2009, that she was sending me a real sewing machine as I adore sewing on cards. Well, after waiting by my mailbox every day, it finally appeared; however, I noticed it was in a small envelope. Now, even a Fruitcake knows sewing machines don't fit in a small envelope.
Well, as you see in front of my photo is the reported functional sewing machine Benzi sent me. Since I couldn't figure out how to use it, she sent me "Sewing For Dummies". I couldn't understand the directions cuz I found out later I was reading it from the last page backward instead of the first page forward - WHO KNEW?
Well, needless to say, when I read the book correctly, a lightbulb went off in my head, which I so rarely see living mostly in the dark! But darned if I didn't figure out how to use that thing. Can you see the stitching beneath the dp? Can you believe that???? No, I didn't think so. Anyway, since Benzi is Queen, I shall claim it is a most proper and functional gift.
I happened to see this stamp and just knew I had to buy it. It depicts me as the "female" gruffie sewing a hat for our precious Queen - the lamb. Benzi just happens to love sheep, so this was a win/win stamp. Can you see Benzi looking at me in amazement about how I actually got that darn machine to work?????
I sparkled up the lamb, a/k/a Benzi, colored the scarf and hat in purple tones and matted it on a PATP which I lifted up on dimensionals. I used some dp from my stash, buttons to go with the SEWING theme, and the beautiful sparkly flower in the corner which my fellow punchie, Carol, a/k/a Bearzi, sent me. It fit perfectly with the card. Thanks Bearz!
Well, that's all my blabbering for today. Sorry I'm late Benzalina, but you knew I would play as soon as I could. If there's anything else you need me to sew for you, just send it on over in your private jet on your way to Paris for lunch!!! CONGRATS my special SCS punchie friend.
Thanks for taking a look and may you have a royal week ahead.
This also fits the DD Challenge CT0411 to use nesties and punches on your card!

Ah, Pam, yout card in Benzi ' s honor is the sweetest, despite your problems with the dang sewing machine!
Love this Gruffie working hard on the machine, trying to keep his lil friend, Benzi, the lamb, happy, albeit with FAUX stitching!! Your stamp around border looks amazing, and the tiny buttons are placed just right to make this card hum right along with your sewing machine!!
Hugs!

Aw Pam... this is adorable! A sweet as can be CASE, and a lovely card for the Queen seamstress. Love your story, and maybe if Benzi had sent you the treadle part of the machine, you'd be having us even more in stitches!

Oh my gosh look at this bear....I am over the moon for this image. How cute. Looks like you got that sewing machine going. Maybe you could make all the punchkateers a hat!!! lol Of course, with the size of that sewing machine it would take years and years to whip them up.
This is the cutest card ever. I love layers, punched borders, buttons, and pretty dp. What a clever and creative card to honor Benzi. I have to see if I can find some time this week to whip one up myself.

Bwahahaha! The sewing machine! I love this Pamzi! What a sweet and beautiful card to honor your buddy! I love this precious image too, and you have framed it fabulously. Your lacy-like border, wee lil buttons and blooms show the heart you have for Brenda. Great job Cowgirl! Hugz....
