I knew what I wanted to do for this one, yet it marinated in my mind for quite some time. It was born on a day when I simply emptied my mind of the noise it usually carries. The BG is composed of hand torn strips of fabric in shades of white and cream printed calico, snippets of lace and trim which were glued with matte medium in a crazy quilt pattern. The frame is from one of those dolar deals stores-metal. I painted it with gesso, then went over it with a glaze in cream color. Left any imperfections in the paint job to add age-interest. The photo was one I trimmed down and placed a sliver of mica tile over. Then dug through Gran's buttons and found some oldies but goodies to act as embellishment. This is for a dear friend, and some of the lace actually wraped a RAK recently received by myself..
