"Ladybug Balancing Act" is this week's challenge image at Delightful Inspiration. It is a progressive challenge and each week you play along you get another free image.
For this week's sweet image, I decided to try to make the image look like an old photo in an album. To do this, first I printed out the image on Neenah white Copic paper. Colored it using only Earth tones and a couple of Warm Gray Copic markers. Next I cut out the image in a rectangle shape and copied it with a printer on to 4x6 and 5x7 glossy Kodak photo paper. Cut down the "photos" and trimmed the edges with some old edger scissors that look like an old photo edge. Then sponged Old Paper Distress Ink along the edges, using a ruler to keep a margin along the edge. Reversed the ruler and sponged Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the image part of the "photo". Took some old white photo album corners, colored them with Copics to match the colors in the images and sponged Vintage photo and Walnut Stain on them before gluing on 6 of the photo corners. Using a craft knife, I cut around part of the leaf and some petals on the larger flower to slide the two photos together after mounting on SU Cajun Craze cardstock. These were mounted on a background of Lasting Impressions DP "Cherry Pie" and "Weathered Black". For a finishing touch, I added the black gem swirls and Copic colored tiny pearls.
Thanks for looking.
