Here is my 2nd card for this weeks inspiration challenge. I REALLY love the webstore chosen this week and could spend a year making cards from just that one source!
I take no credit whatsoever for the wood effect embossing on the card base. That totally came from an amazing fellow member here on SCS MaryR917.
PLEASE check out her incredible gallery, leave her some love and take a peek at the gorgeous card that was my inspiration for this second card. I only hope I have done her justice!
I really love the stamp I have used here as it can be used for so many different occasions and best of all is totally unisex. The lighthouse reminds me of very happy holidays as a child scrambling around the rocks at Portland Bill Lighthouse.
This is one of the many reasons I love stamping/crafting so much - there are so many opportunities to recall and celebrate priceless memories.
I am not 100% happy with the colouring on the image but it's something I will definitely be working on in the future. The sky and lighthouse beams were created using chalks and to make the sand & lighthouse "sparkle" a bit I used Distress Stickles in "Scattered Straw" and just a touch of regular stickles in "Orange Peel"
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you have got this far down, for allowing me to bore you to death!
Happy Stamping x

This is so BEAUTIFUL!!! And who doesn't feel better after a leisure visit or stroll along the beach. With the sun and sand and beautiful surf! The embossing is a very nice touch (I'll have to check out the link), love love love how your lighthouse came out, love the stickled sand (that's brilliant if you ask me!!) - and I agree about the memories. This beach scene certainly brings back wonderful memories for me - so thank you for that :-). It's gorgeous!
Thank you too for the sweet comments you left on my cards. You've made my day :-)!!!!!!

I think your coloring is wonderful on this, and I especially LOVE what you did with the sand. The sky is beautiful. Love the "wood" background too. Beautiful work! Best, Curt
